Bramnick Law Firm ScholarshipAwarded to first-time, full-time, Freshmen, fall cohort students who are first in their family to attend college.  Students must be UCNJ County residents and demonstrate financial need.
The Bristol Myers Squibb Future Caregivers AwardAwarded to a new or continuing full-time student working towards an Associate in Science Degree in Nursing, with a 3.0 (B) or better average. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need.
The Brown Family Paramedic ScholarshipAwarded to a new or continuing full or part-time student in the Paramedic Program, including those working towards an Associate degree in the Paramedic Program. Preference will be given to a student with financial need.
Drs. Thomas and Tressa Brown ScholarshipAwarded to an entering Plainfield High School graduate who is a full-time, matriculated student majoring in Elementary or Secondary Education. Recipient must maintain a 2.75 GPA to continue receiving this scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need.
Helen E. Chaney Completion Scholarship       Awarded to members of a first-time, full-time Fall student cohort.   Recipients must be entering the final year of their degree program and be on course to graduate on time.  Recipients must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need.
Helen E. Chaney ScholarshipAwarded to first-time, full-time students with a minimum 2.5 GPA, and in a matriculated major. Recipients must demonstrate financial need.
Citizens Philanthropic Foundation First in the Family Scholarship

Awarded to first-time, freshmen incoming students who are first in their families to attend college. Recipients must have graduated high school with a minimum 2.5 GPA.  Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.
Colonna/Cormier ScholarshipAwarded to a full-time student coming immediately out of high school with a “B+ average” (or 3.5 GPA). The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement and financial need.
ConnectOne Bank Completion -ScholarshipAwarded to a first-time, full-time Fall cohort student with a minimum 2.8 GPA.  Recipient must be a UCNJ County resident, entering the final year of their degree program and be on course to graduate on time. Financial need is preferred, but not mandatory.
Corporate Chefs ScholarshipAwarded to a student enrolled in a program at the Plainfield Campus who demonstrates financial need.
County Commissioners Scholars Program (formerly Freeholders Scholarship)Funded by the UCNJ County Board of County Commissioners, the County Commissioners Scholars Program covers the cost of tuition and fees for entering or returning students who meet these criteria:
Full time enrollment status (12 or more credits per semester)
Minimum 3.0 or B high school average
UCNJ County resident
Annual family income of $95,000 or less
Applicants must file for federal and state financial aid; the County Commissioners Scholars Program will cover the difference between UC tuition and fees and financial aid received.
Charles T. Davis, Sr. ScholarshipAwarded to students entering the Liberal Arts Program. To be eligible, students must have membership in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.  Preference given to students residing in UCNJ County. Students must first apply for and accept financial aid prior to receiving scholarship. Continuing recipient(s) must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
Rachel Ann Drinkwater ScholarshipAwarded to a full-time, female Business major who is in the top quarter of her high school class or has maintained a “B” average the last two years in high school. Must maintain a 3.0 GPA while at UCNJ and plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree after graduating from UCNJ. Recipient must be a United States citizen and no more than 21 years of age.
Parker Enix-Ross Memorial ScholarshipAwarded to a first-generation college student. Recipient must be a UCNJ County resident, with a minimum 2.75 GPA.  Scholarship will be awarded to a student majoring in Communications, with a preference of Media, Entertainment Technology or Journalism.
Follett New Student Scholarship Awarded to first-time, full-time, Freshmen, Fall cohort students with a minimum high school GPA of 2.5.
Frog Crossing Foundation First in the Family ScholarshipAwarded to a full- or part-time female first-year students who are first in their families to attend college.  Funds from the scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and/or books.
Glasser Foundation Completion ScholarshipAwarded to first-time, full-time fall cohort students entering the final semester of their degree program, who are on course to graduate.
Glasser Foundation First in the Family Scholarship Awarded to first-time, full-time, Freshman, fall cohort students who are the first in their family to attend college.  Students must have graduated high school with a minimum 2.5 GPA and must demonstrate financial need.
Jerry Green Memorial ScholarshipAwarded to a first-time, full-time African American student who has a minimum 2.5 GPA. Recipients must have completed 30 credits and be on track to graduate on time. Preference will be given to those students who demonstrate financial need.
Jacobson Family ScholarshipAwarded to a full-time student who is a graduate of Elizabeth High School or is currently living in Elizabeth and demonstrates financial need.
Sharon Karmazin ScholarshipAwarded to an adult female UCNJ student (age 30+).Awarded to a student who is a graduate of Abraham Clark High School in Roselle, NJ.  The recipient must demonstrate academic promise and financial need. UCNJ student (age 30+).
Ferdinand Klumpp ScholarshipAwarded to an entering or continuing full or part-time student majoring in a Business or Engineering curriculum. Recipient must be a resident of UCNJ County. Preference will be given to a student in financial need.
Fred & Betty Kopf Completion Scholarship Awarded to students who are members of a first-time, full-time, fall student cohort.  Recipients must be entering the final year of their degree program and be on course to graduate on time.  Recipients must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need.
The Legacy Completion ScholarshipRecipients must be members of a first-time, full-time, Fall student cohort. Recipients must be entering the final year of their degree program and be on course to graduate on time.
Margolies Family Scholarship for First-Generation StudentsAwarded to a full-time student who is first in their family to attend college. Student must have a high school GPA of 3.0 at the time of admittance to UCNJ. If student maintains a 3.2 GPA for the academic year, they will be awarded the scholarship for the following year(s) (up to a max of 3 years total). If not, scholarship will be awarded to another incoming freshman candidate who meets requirements. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.
Bernadette Murphy ScholarshipAwarded to an incoming or current full- or part – time student who has a minimum 2.5 GPA at the time of application. Recipient must be a single parent and a first-generation college student.
New Jersey Student Tuition Assistance Reward Scholarship (NJ STARS)High school graduates who are within the top 15% of their class and who meet other criteria are eligible. Applicants must first apply for all need-based federal and merit-based state financial aid grants. The NJ STARS will cover the remaining balance of tuition and qualified fees. Qualified students will have up to two years from date of high school graduation to enroll and begin using the NJ STARS at UCNJ.
Duane & Joanne Norelli Memorial ScholarshipAwarded to first-time, full-time, fall cohort students who are on track to graduate.  Recipients must be Psychology majors who have completed a minimum of 30 credits and earned a minimum overall GPA of 2.5. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.
Sue Novak, RN, CHPN Nursing Scholarship

Awarded to a full or part-time student who plans on enrolling in the Nursing Program. Preference will be given to a Plainfield resident or an entering student from Plainfield High School.
Elizabeth M. & Jesse B. Patberg Memorial Completion ScholarshipAwarded to a first-time, full-time fall cohort student who is entering the final year of their degree program and is on course to graduate.  Recipient must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be majoring in either Biology or Nursing.
Ann M. Poskocil ScholarshipAwarded to a full- or part-time, first-generation college student who is in a Liberal Arts or Science program.  Recipient must have a minimum 3.0 GPA at the time of application.  Scholarship will be awarded to a student who demonstrates financial need.  Preference will be given to a single mother.
Victor & Andrea Richel ScholarshipAwarded to a first time, full-time incoming student. Recipient must have graduated high school with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need.  A prospective recipient must submit an application for financial aid to the College’s Financial Aid Office but need not be eligible for financial aid.
Santander First Generation Honors ScholarshipAwarded to first generation college students enrolled in either the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society or the American Honors program at UCNJ. Preference will be given to students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds who are Pell eligible.
C.W. Sharp and T.L. Murphy ScholarshipAwarded to a matriculated full or part-time student entering with a 2.0 average or better. Preference will be given to students at the School of Nursing and those with a record of community service. Special consideration will be given to a first-generation college student. As part of the scholarship application, the recipient must write an essay expressing his/her career aspirations. Recipient must maintain a 2.5 or better GPA in order to continue receiving the scholarship. Recipient is encouraged to visit his/her former high school to serve as a role model for those who come after. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need.
September 11th Memorial ScholarshipThe primary criteria are to provide assistance to individuals and their immediate families who were impacted by the events of September 11, 2001 and who do not have adequate relief from other sources. In the event there are no candidates who meet the primary criteria, the scholarship will be awarded to students pursuing a degree in one of the emergency-serving professions. There are no academic criteria and the scholarship may be awarded to an entering full or part-time student.
Roy W. Smith Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a new or continuing full or part-time student with a “C” (2.0 GPA) or better average. Preference will be given to a Communications major. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need.
Margaret Sweeney Memorial ScholarshipAwarded to full-time incoming students who have a high school minimum GPA of 2.75 and demonstrate financial need.
Madeline M. and Anthony A. Vertelis ScholarshipAwarded to a full or part-time student who is a Linden High School graduate and resides in Linden or UCNJ. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need.
Louise Yohalem ScholarshipAwarded to a full or part-time student who has completed 12 credits and has a “B” (3.0 GPA) or better average. Recipient must be a first-generation female student either born in a foreign country or whose parents were born in a foreign country. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need.
Mayor Al Morgan ScholarshipAwarded to a full- or part-time incoming student who has earned a minimum high school GPA of 2.0. Recipient must reside in New Providence, have earned a diploma from New Providence High School, and show community involvement. Preference given to those students who demonstrate financial need.
Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce ScholarshipAwarded to full- or part-time business students or students in business-related curriculum. Recipients must be from Westfield, Garwood, Fanwood, Clark, Scotch Plains, or Mountainside. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.
Tasharofi Health Science ScholarshipAwarded to students pursuing education in the health science field who demonstrate financial need.
Verizon First Responders ScholarshipAwarded to a full- or part-time student. Recipient must be either a first responder (police officer, firefighter, paramedic, EMT) or a first responder in their immediate family (spouse, child, or legal partner). Student must complete either the FAFSA form or the New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid Application.
